Getting Started

How does the free strategy call work?

It's a 30-minute call where we look at your current marketing, your market, and your competition. We'll tell you what's working, what's not, and what we'd do differently. There's no pitch at the end — if it makes sense to work together, we'll talk about it. If not, you still walk away with actionable info.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

We ask for a 3-month initial commitment so we have enough runway to actually deliver results. Marketing doesn't work overnight — especially SEO. After those first 3 months, it's month-to-month. We keep clients by performing, not by locking them in.

What does it cost?

Our Foundation plan starts at $1,500/month and the Growth plan is $3,500/month. Elite is custom-scoped based on your goals and market. Ad spend is separate. All plans start with a free strategy call — no commitment required to have the conversation.

Do you work with contractors outside of custom home building?

Yes. We work with general contractors, remodelers, design-build firms, specialty trades, and commercial contractors. The common thread is high-ticket projects — we're built for builders doing $150K+ jobs, not handyman services.

Results & Timeline

How long does it take to see results?

Paid ads can generate leads within the first few weeks once campaigns are dialed in. SEO takes longer — typically 4–6 months to rank for competitive terms. Most clients start seeing a meaningful increase in qualified leads within the first 60–90 days.

What kind of results should I realistically expect?

Every market is different, so we don't make guarantees. What we typically see is a 2–3× increase in qualified leads and a 25–40% improvement in close rates within the first 90 days. Some see results faster, some slower — it depends on your market and starting point.

How do you measure success?

We track the numbers that matter: qualified leads per month, close rate, average project value, and revenue generated. We don't send reports full of impressions and clicks. If the revenue number isn't moving, we change the strategy.

How We Work

How is BuildRate different from other marketing agencies?

We only work with builders and contractors. Every strategy we build comes from knowing this industry — the long sales cycles, the trust problem, the referral dependency. Most agencies send you leads and disappear. We stay in the funnel and help you close.

Do you handle everything or do I need to be involved?

We handle the heavy lifting. What we need from you is access to your project photos, feedback on lead quality, and 30 minutes every other week for a strategy call. The less time you spend on marketing, the more time you spend building.

Will you build my website or do I need one already?

Website design is included in every plan. If you already have a site, we'll audit it and either optimize or rebuild depending on what makes sense. Either way, you end up with something fast, professional, and built to convert visitors into consultations.

I've been burned by a marketing agency before. Why should I trust you?

We hear this constantly. Most builders we work with had a bad experience with a generalist agency. Here's the difference: we grew up around construction, we only work in this space, and we don't hide behind vanity metrics. That's also why we go month-to-month after the initial 3 months — if we're not delivering, you can walk.

Do you manage ad spend, or is that separate?

Ad spend is separate from our fee. You pay Google/Meta directly. We handle strategy, setup, targeting, creative, and optimization. Most clients start between $1,500–$3,000/month in ad spend depending on their market.
